AM Craft company has purchased four industrial 3D printers for EUR 2 mln from US Stratasys company, AM Craft board member Janis Jatnieks informed BC.

He said that thus, in 2021 spring, Riga will have the largest park of large-scale 3D printers in Northern Europe, focusing on production of certified aviation and medical products. Opening of the new park is scheduled for 2021 because at present the printers will be adapted for work and this process takes several months.

Jatnieks said that the 3D printer park is developed thanks to the agreement signed with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA). Luminor bank has allocated EUR 804,000 loan for the project.

The agreement with CFLA was signed on November 20, 2019. The total sum of the budget is EUR 2 mln, including EUR 1.1 mln coming from the European Regional Development Fund. The project will be implemented by April 28, 2021. As a result of the project, five new jobs will be created.

Supply of 3D printers is a part of a larger project. The company plans to create an automated line that will be able to serve the 3D printers non-stop, ensuring automation of manual processes.

AM Craft was registered in 2018, and has a share capital of EUR 3,000. The company belongs to Amerikas Baltijas Tehnologiju Korporacija (24%) and four individuals.
