A teenage driver fled the scene in Harrogate after smashing an Audi through a wall and hitting with two parked cars, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.
Police were called to Kingsley Drive just before 1am yesterday (Wednesday) morning and after some searching with the assistance of a police dog, found the 18-year-old, who was arrested for drink-driving.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We’ve arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving after a late-night collision in Harrogate caused substantial damage to cars and property. We received a report of a collision on Kingsley Drive, Harrogate, just before 1am on Wednesday.

"A black Audi A1 car had left the road, demolished a front wall, and hit two parked cars with such force that the garage behind them was damaged too.
"The driver of the Audi left the scene, but our officers deployed to the area immediately, and with the assistance of a police dog, we located a man matching his description nearby. The 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, and has since been released under investigation while our enquiries continue."
