Netflix's first original medical drama Pulse features a star-studded cast including the talented Jack Bannon.
The 10-part series, reminiscent of popular medical dramas like Grey's Anatomy, delves into the professional and personal lives of the staff at Maguire Medical Centre in Miami.
Among the key characters is second-year surgical resident Tom Cole (played by Jack Bannon), a charming Brit who chose Maguire for its top-notch trauma programme and the allure of the Miami lifestyle.
As Pulse drops on Netflix, let's take a look at what else fans may recognise Bannon from.
Jack Bannon's career so far
The 34-year-old actor made his screen debut in the series Look and Read in 2004, followed by The Giblet Boys the next year.
His career took a significant leap nine years later when he appeared in the Hollywood film The Imitation Game alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, playing the role of Christopher Morcom.
While filming The Imitation Game, Bannon also began his role in the Inspector Morse prequel Endeavour, starring alongside Shaun Evans.
He played Sam Thursday, son of Fred Thursday (Roger Allam), Morse's partner, and brother of Joan Thursday (Sara Vickers), for whom he harbored deep feelings.
Since 2013, Bannon has taken on roles in various other productions such as Kids In Love, Ripper Street, Clique, The Loch, and Medici.
Bannon then stepped into the spotlight, landing the lead role in the MGM+ drama Pennyworth as Alfred Pennyworth, "a former British soldier with deadly skills".
This series serves as a prequel to the Batman franchise, with Pennyworth taking on a job offer from Thomas Wayne (played by Ben Aldridge), who eventually becomes the father of Bruce Wayne.
Recently, Bannon played the character Lukas in the Icelandic detective drama The Darkness, which airs on Sky Showtime in the UK.
Aside from Pulse, the actor has another project in the works, according to his IMDb page.
He is set to star in the upcoming series Babies, currently in post-production, alongside some familiar faces, including Paapa Essiedu from I May Destroy You and Black Doves, and Siobhan Cullen from The Dry.
But what's in store for his character in Pulse, with subscribers eagerly anticipating big things from the show being hailed as the "new Grey's Anatomy"?
