SOLON SPRINGS, Wisc. (Northern News Now) - The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) track and field championships began on Friday and three members of the Northwood/Solon Springs team are bringing home some glory.

Senior Isaac Dickenson set a personal and program record in the 1600M race with a time of 4:23.30. Dickenson placed 5th in the event and the senior is committed to the University of Minnesota Duluth next season.

Senior Cade Lisson placed eighth in the 400M semifinals with a time of 50.13 and will participate in the 400M finals on Saturday, June 7. Lisson will also run with the Bulldogs track & field team next year.

Jake Taggart finished seventh overall in the 800M race and set a new school and personal record with a time of 1:56.93.
